Accessibility statement
Vision-Aid trains people who are blind or have low vision, so this website must work for them first.
Our standard
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Every page has one main heading and a clear heading structure, plus a Skip to main content link.
- Every button, link and form field has a label that makes sense when read on its own.
- Text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1, and nothing depends on colour alone.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a thick, clearly visible focus outline.
- Pages reflow to a single column at up to 400% zoom.
- The site works with JavaScript turned off, and respects reduced motion and Windows high-contrast settings.
- When you filter the course list, your screen reader announces how many courses are shown.
Display settings
Use Display at the top of every page to choose dark, high-contrast colours or Daylight colours, and standard, large or extra-large text. Your choice is remembered on this device.
The Vision-Aid LMS
Courses, quizzes and assessments are on the Vision-Aid LMS at lms.visionaidindia.org. It is a separate system, which we are improving for screen reader and keyboard users.
Tell us about a problem
