Log in to LMS

Learning & assessments

Your classes are taught by Vision-Aid instructors, online or at a centre. After enrolment, your course material, quizzes and assessments are on the Vision-Aid LMS. This page explains how it works.

Logging in

  1. Go to lms.visionaidindia.org.
  2. Enter the email address and password for your Vision-Aid account.
  3. Select Log in. Your dashboard opens with your courses.

After you register, the Vision-Aid team reviews your form and creates your LMS login when your place is confirmed. If you have forgotten your password, use Forgot your password? to get a reset link by email.

Registering for a course

  1. Choose a course on this website, and check the Who can join section on its page.
  2. Open the Vision-Aid registration form. Fill in your personal details and vision details, and choose up to three courses under Course Priorities. Each course page tells you which option to pick.
  3. Submit the form. After you register, the Vision-Aid team reviews your form and creates your LMS login when your place is confirmed.
  4. Log in to the LMS to study and take your assessments.

For Hadley’s free courses, register on Hadley’s website instead: see Hadley courses. Hadley courses run on Hadley’s website, not on the Vision-Aid LMS.

Studying on the LMS

Each course on the LMS is split into modules. Open a module to find its lessons, notes and recordings. Your progress is saved as you finish each item, and you can bookmark items to come back to later.

Taking an assessment

  1. Open your course and go to Assessments.
  2. Choose an assessment and select Start.
  3. Answer each question. Each question is a group of choices, so your screen reader reads the question with its options.
  4. Your answers are saved as you go. If the assessment has a time limit, the time left is shown on the page.
  5. When you have finished, select Submit. Your result and grade are shown after you submit.

Screen reader tips

NVDA and JAWS on a computer

  • Press H to move to the next heading, and Shift + H to go back.
  • Press F to move to the next form field, such as an answer choice.
  • Press B to move to the next button, such as Submit.
  • Press Insert + F7 to list all links and headings on the page.

TalkBack on Android

  • Swipe right or left to move between items, and double-tap to select.
  • Set the reading control to Headings, then swipe down to jump from heading to heading.

VoiceOver on iPhone

  • Turn the rotor to Headings, then swipe down to jump from heading to heading.
